Why PCC?

Completing your Associate of Arts degree in Social Work at PCC will allow you to take the same entry-level courses you’d study at a university. You’ll save thousands of dollars and enjoy the benefits of smaller class sizes and personalized attention from your instructors.

The courses included in this program are part of an articulation agreement with Colorado State University-Pueblo. Upon transfer to CSU-Pueblo, your AA degree with an emphasis in social work will enable you to apply for admission to the Social Work program to complete a bachelor’s degree.

What will I learn?

Social work is a professional and academic discipline that aims to improve the quality of life and well-being of groups, families, couples, individuals and communities through teaching, advocacy, research, community organizing, practice and crisis intervention.

This program will introduce you to the field and includes general education requirements as well as specific social work courses.
